Newport Sportsmen Club Membership Guidelines

Membership in the Newport Sportsmen Club, Inc. shall be open to all persons who are interested in the organization and willing to uphold the purposes of the organization. Membership shall be effective when the applicant submits an application for membership; is sponsored and accompanied at a regular meeting by a member in good standing; has no past felony offenses; is approved by the majority of members at a regular monthly meeting and after the initial dues and annual dues are paid.

If an individual submits an application to become a member of the Newport Sportsmen Club but does not have a recommending active member, they will have an opportunity to introduce themselves and tell membership about themselves at the first meeting. If it is still determined that no member knows them, applicant will submit to the Club officers 3 references. Over the course of the next month the officers will reach out to the new applicant’s references. The new applicant will then attend the next monthly meeting and will then be accepted or declined as a member.

***Access to our Rifle/Pistol Range IS NOT INCLUDED in our club membership dues. Any member interested in using our Rifle/Pistol Range facilities must pay for a Range Card and attend a Range Class. More information can be found in the Range section of our website. 

Memberships
For the first year of membership, an initiation fee of $20.00 and annual dues of $20.00
For each year there after, annual dues of $20.00 per year.
Military Service. Any United States military veteran, active duty, retired, or honorably discharged shall receive a 50% discount on annual or life membership dues.
Lifetime Memberships
All members who have paid annual dues for two full consecutive years shall become lifetime members upon payment of lifetime dues of $200.00. No further annual dues shall be required of such members.

Newport Sportsmen Club reserves the right to cancel any member’s membership, without refund, if that member is found to be in violation of the By-Laws and our Club’s Due Process.
